CO 01Manifold/Company

Software for the cargo that does not fit in a box.

Manifold builds for breakbulk and project-cargo terminals: the facilities handling turbines, transformers, steel, pipe, modules and heavy-lift pieces. It is a small industry that runs an enormous amount of value through processes almost nobody has written down.

Why this exists

Breakbulk terminals run a commercial process that is largely undocumented. Deals arrive by phone and email. Pricing lives in one person’s spreadsheet. What happened on the dock is recorded on paper, and often typed up twice or not at all.

None of that is anyone’s fault. The industry is small enough that the general-purpose tools were never built for it, and big enough that the cost of the gap is real: margin left on the table, bids lost to whoever answered first, and numbers nobody can reconstruct a quarter later.

Manifold puts a system of record under three parts of that. Finding the work, pricing the work, and recording what physically happened.

Who we build for

Breakbulk and project-cargo terminal operators, and the commercial teams inside them. That means business development people who need to know what is moving, and operations and pricing people who have to put a defensible number in front of a customer.

We are deliberately narrow. The product assumes you handle over-dimensional and heavy-lift cargo, that your rates are your own rather than a published tariff, and that a quote has to survive being questioned. Those assumptions would be wrong for a container terminal.

How we run

Manifold Software, Inc. is a small, founder-led company. We work directly with a small number of terminals as design partners rather than selling ahead of what is built, and the roadmap comes from what those operators actually hit.

The research pipeline verifies its own source links because a customer told us a dead link is worse than no link. That is not a feature anyone asks for in a demo.

That shows up throughout the product. The pricing engine is tested against real customer spreadsheets to the cent. Old quotes stay reproducible after the rate library moves on. The engine speaks up rather than quietly producing a number.

Your data

Your rates, quotes and records are yours. They are isolated per terminal at the database level rather than by application code, and we do not pool pricing across customers into a shared dataset. There is no benchmark product built quietly out of your numbers.

We do not use customer data to train AI models, and we use providers whose commercial terms say the same. The subprocessors we rely on are listed in full on our privacy policy, and that list is updated in the same change as any new tool that touches customer data.

The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no marketing pixels or session recorders. That is why you have not been asked to dismiss a consent banner.
